My Favorite Podcasts to Listen to:

Whether I’m doing my makeup, cleaning my room, or on a walk, I love listening to a podcast to pass the time. Here are a few of my favorites:

  1. The Holy Post – This is a recent discovery that I cannot stop listening to. The podcast is hosted by Phil Vischer, the creator of VeggieTales. They discuss current events through the lens of faith and have guest speakers every episode. Kaitlyn Schiess is a podcast regular. She is currently a doctoral student right down the road at Duke Divinity School. The show has been refreshing in a culture that has grouped Christianity with certain political parties or policies.
  1. NPR News Now and The NPR Politics Podcast – This one speaks for itself, but it is my go-to when I hop in the car for a short drive or am on a walk and want to hear about current events. I feel their reporting is objective and informative.
  1. Ask the Pastor with J.D. Greear – When spreading the gospel is the priority, there are some topics that don’t often make it to the pulpit. That’s where this podcast comes in. It creates a space for Christians to ask J.D. Greear hard-hitting and niche questions that probably don’t have a place on Sunday mornings, but are important to discuss.
  1. Therapuss with Jake Shane – I have been a fan of Jake Shane since 2023 when he blew up on TikTok. His podcast is lighthearted and a good listen while doing my makeup or cleaning my room. He has a new celebrity guest every episode and always keeps it real.
